The SOUTH AFRICAN EMBASSY in Berne is currently seeking 2 highly motivated people to fill the following positions: 

POST No. 1/2012: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a three years post-school qualification plus five (5) years experience in administration, finance and management. The applicant must be fluent in German and English and should be computer literate. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.

• Financial management
• Human resource matters
• Assets and lease management
• Supply chain and procurement procedures
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Client service relations

Duties:

• Administer general office activities of the Embassy
• Administer the monthly financial reports
• Assist with human resource matters
• Administrative support on Embassy assets & lease
• Administrative of the procurement and supply chain processes

Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a minimum of 12 years schooling plus two (2) years experience in Reception and Administration. The applicant must be fluent in German and English and should be computer literate. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.

• Client service relations
• Switchboard operation
• General office administration
• Communication and negotiation skills

Duties:

• Attend to Clients telephonically and in person
• Administer and operate the switchboard
• Assist with general office administration
