CHILD PASSPORT
A child passport is issued to a South African child who is under the age of sixteen (16).
Both parents/legal guardians must appear personally at the Embassy by prior appointment. They must wear a personal protective mask to enter the Embassy.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- South African birth registration plus a clear copy
- Current or expired South African passport plus a clear copy of data page
- Police certificate if previous passport stolen or lost
- Swiss/Liechtenstein residence permit plus a clear copy
- Four (4) colored passport photographs.
- Both parents must sign the application forms (second page Sections “C”, “D” and “E”)
- Divorced, single parents or guardians of children, must present official documents issued by the relevant department pertaining sole custody or guardianship.
- Documents issued in foreign languages must be officially translated into English
- No cash payment is accepted at the Embassy. Application fees to be made online. The information will be provided to you during your appointment.
- Self-addressed-stamped envelope for the return of documents.
Please print/copy documents before attending your appointment. The Consular staff will no longer make any copies or print documents on your behalf.
N.B.: All applications are evaluated and documents are printed in Pretoria, therefore the Embassy has no influence on the processing time of the document.
