SHORT TERM BUSINESS

Issued to foreign nationals who are required to have a visa prior to their short business trip to South Africa. 

Visas are processed and adjudicated within 5-10 working days, during which the original passport will remain at the Embassy.

Your appointment will be set up approximately three-four weeks prior to your departure date.

Passport:              Must be valid 30 days after the expiry of the visa

Photos:                 Two(2) passport photos (Swiss standard)

Itinerary: A flight reservation is required.  Do not make final arrangements

Purpose of visit:   A confirmation letter from the company in Switzerland with information outlining your duties while on business trip on their behalf

Invitation:            A confirmation letter from the company in South Africa

Financial means: The company covering the financial responsibility of your trip should confirm within their letter and/or a 3-month detailed bank statement of your account

Accommodation:  hotel accommodation reservation/confirmation copy

Swiss Residence: Foreign nationals residing in Switzerland (C, B, L) – original and copy

Visa fee:                No cash necessary. Payment will be made online (if applicable).

Please do not make any payments in advance.

Envelope:                         Self-addressed-stamped envelope for the return of the passport

The supporting documents should be in English language or officially translated (except bank statements) 

Please print documents before attending your appointment.  The Consular staff will no longer make any copies or print documents on your behalf.
